From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., The Commons will come alive with vendors, live music, and festive Easter activities—making it the perfect outing for families, friends, and visitors alike.

Don’t Miss the Community Easter Egg Hunt 🐣

At 12:00 p.m., families are invited to gather at The Commons for a free Community Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by United Way of South Central Illinois. Children ages 12 and under can hunt for hundreds of candy- and prize-filled eggs—so be sure to bring a basket and arrive early!

And keep an eye out for a special guest—the Easter Bunny will be hopping into The Commons at noon to greet families and snap photos.

Live Music to Keep the Fun Going 🎶

After the egg hunt, stick around for live entertainment from Eastwood & The Prairie Wolves, performing until 2:30 p.m. Their high-energy performance will keep the good vibes going all afternoon.

Here’s how to play:

• Pick up your Golden Egg Passport
• Visit participating downtown businesses
• Find the hidden Golden Egg in each location
• Get your passport stamped
• Turn in your completed passport by March 28

Everyone who completes their passport will be entered to win a DMDC Golden Basket filled with downtown goodies.

While you’re enjoying Market Days, be sure to check out another meaningful event happening nearby. The Ainad Shriners are hosting a complimentary children’s screening clinic from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 124 N. 10th Street.

Families with children who may have orthopedic concerns—or who are seeking a second opinion—are encouraged to attend. Evaluations will help determine if conditions may be treated at Shriners Children’s St. Louis.

The Easter Bunny will also make a special appearance at the screening clinic, making it a welcoming and family-friendly stop during your day downtown.
