Carols on the radio and decorations in stores can only mean one thing, Christmas is on its way! With Christmas brings the fuzzy feelings of hot cocoa, a warm fireplace, and twinkling lights. Whatever makes you excited for Christmas, the shopping, setting up the nativity, or baking delicious goodies, celebrate the wonder of Christmas in Mt. Vernon! Check a couple of items off your Christmas shopping list at the Veteran’s Park Holiday Craft Fair on December 2nd. That evening, watch the annual Downtown Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5p.m. Decorate a Christmas cookie, sip on hot chocolate, enjoy a holiday movie, and visit Mr. Clause himself! Round off the weekend by taking the kids to the Historical Village on December 3rd for a children’s Christmas party. Don’t miss the festivities this magical time of year can bring!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus

Another new, unique event happening this year is the 5 days of Christmas at King City Books. December 18th-22nd at 5:30 p.m. each night will feature a different holiday theme such as The Grinch and The Night Before Christmas. The evenings will include a story time, snacks, crafts, and hot cocoa. Tickets can be purchased for $15/night or $65 for all five nights. Children will not want to miss out on this event!
