PawFest

Bring your furry friends out for a fun day in the park! PawFest will be held on Sunday, June 3rd, at Veteran's Park from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. This is the second year PawFest has been held separate from Fall Fest. Come enjoy laser tag, a petting zoo, face painting, obstacle course, Billy Bob's BBQ, and more. Craft vendor booths will be selling  jewelry, pet treats, pet merchandise and other items. Vet Your Pet will have nail trims for $10 and microchipping services for $25 available.

Activities on the main stage during the day will include a reptile exhibit, K-9 demonstration, Rottweiler training demonstration, Top Dog Award Presentation, pet contests, a pet parade, and a Meet the Adoptables Runway Show. Pet contest categories include best costume, best trick, longest tail, and cutest ears. You can register for pet contests at PawFest for $1 or a donation of one supply drive item per contest.

The event is free but donations will benefit Vet Your Pet of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Animal Control. A supply drive is currently being held to benefit The Jefferson County Animal Control.

Vet Your Pet provides low cost spay and neuter vouchers for the residents of Jefferson county. The Jefferson County Animal Control protects the public from dangerous animals, conducts well-being checks such as neglect and abuse, and picks up stray or unwanted animals.

You can donate several items including dry and canned dog and cat food, bleach, dryer sheets, flea control medicine, peroxide, paper towels, latex gloves, and more at participating businesses. Donation boxes are currently placed at Damron Insurance, Tractor Supply Company, Groomingdale's, Tailored Pets, Pet Supplies Plus, and Hall Insurance. Donations will be accepted the day of PawFest, as well.
